Reminds me of some of the girls who came to Korea in USO shows. They put on very interesting shows, not all had the most talent, but were the most enthusiastic about entertaining the Troops... Some of the most popular due to looks, were not the most entertaining. But, all of them who came, were very appreciated. Some insisting on putting on shows close to the front lines, to entertain those in the worst combat situations.... Even when the USO tour leaders though they should leave an area, some entertainers insisted on staying, until the pressure was off the lines, so they could rotate the companies online and all could see the show. One group waited for four days delaying their schedule to go to units further behind the lines... THEY will never be forgotten by those for whom they waited. Marilyn Monroe was one of those who with Bob Hope, Les Paul, and a lot of others, refused to leave danger zones.
